Mission Unstoppable Honored with 45th Annual Gracie Award, presented by Alliance for Women in Media

New Series from Litton Entertainment, IF/THEN and The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media Ranks Best Performing New Educational Series on Saturday Mornings

BURBANK, CA, MAY 13, 2020 – Litton Entertainment today announced that Mission Unstoppable has been honored by the Alliance for Women in Media with a Gracie Award for Best Family Series. The series, which previously won a Parent’s Choice Award, is the best performing new educational program on Saturday mornings in its premiere season.

Mission Unstoppable (Click for Preview) is produced by Litton Entertainment in collaboration with Lyda Hill Philanthropies’® IF/THEN® Initiative. The 26-episode, half-hour series is Executive Produced by Academy-Award winning actor and advocate Geena Davis, along with series host Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly and Despicable Me).

Mission Unstoppable airs weekly on CBS and features women STEM role models in a fun and innovative way to educate and inspire the next generation of STEM pioneers.  The series showcases a diverse array of dynamic women, from all backgrounds, who are changemakers in their industries.

This year marks the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation’s 45th anniversary of the Gracie Awards. The Gracies recognize individual achievement and exemplary programming created by, for and about women in all facets of media and entertainment.

Additionally, Mission Unstoppable recently launched #StaySafeForScience, a new pro-social digital campaign designed to generate awareness and youth engagement for best public health practices during the COVID-19 pandemic.  

#StaySafeForScience will include a social media call to action entitled, the #StaySafeForScience Challenge, which will run on Instagram and Twitter.  To support the science community and further COVID-19 relief efforts, Lyda Hill Philanthropies will donate $1 for every tweet or Instagram filter shared using #StaySafeForScience up to $250,000.

All funds raised through the #StaySafeForScience Challenge will be donated in equal parts to the CDC Foundation and Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security at the Bloomberg School of Public Health to support both organizations’ leading science-based efforts related to the pandemic.

The campaign also includes a PSA running on CBS that features Mission Unstoppable host Miranda Cosgrove (Click to View PSA) and AAAS IF/THEN Ambassadors, all female STEM leaders.
