Litton Entertainment Launches The Jack Hanna Channel

Emmy-winning Producer and Distributor Brings Fans of Globally Popular Animal Advocate and Conservationist a Streaming Channel Devoted to His Many Adventures
Initial Distribution Platforms Include VIZIO SmartCast® and Samsung TV Plus
(Charleston, S.C., and Burbank, CA, March 24, 2021) – “Jungle” Jack Hanna’s millions of fans, and animal lovers everywhere, will be able to follow the adventures of one of the globe’s most popular TV personalities with the launch of The Jack Hanna Channel -- a free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel devoted to the exploits of the world’s most famous and beloved zoologist.
The Jack Hanna Channel is the second FAST channel from Litton Entertainment -- the Emmy-winning producer and distributor of content across all genres and platforms and the longstanding premier provider of educational and informational (E/I) programming featured on broadcast networks’ weekend lineups. It is scheduled for launch today on VIZIO SmartCast® in the United States and in April on Samsung TV Plus in both the US and Canada.
The Jack Hanna Channel’s premiere follows Litton’s successful November 2020 launch of its inaugural FAST channel, Xplore, featuring a programming slate including Hanna and other top talent like Mo Rocca, Miranda Cosgrove and Dylan Dreyer, and genres including travel, lifestyle, natural sciences and technology, among others.
Xplore is currently distributed in the US on VIZIO SmartCast, Samsung TV Plus, The Roku Channel and Plex, and will soon launch on Xumo. It is also scheduled to launch in April on Samsung TV Plus in Canada and the United Kingdom. Litton Entertainment is actively pursuing additional distribution partnerships both domestically and internationally for both Xplore and The Jack Hanna Channel.

From his days in the 1970s transforming Columbus, Ohio’s city zoo into a worldwide destination that in 2019 attracted more than two million visitors, Hanna has built a wildlife franchise encompassing the popular TV shows “Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild,” “Jack Hanna’s Wild Countdown” and “Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures,” which has been viewed in more than 60 countries. He has been nominated for 15 Emmy awards, winning five for his work on “Into the Wild.” He is also the author of several books and the recipient of multiple honorary doctorates. A Knoxville native, he was named the 2014 East Tennessean of the Year by the East Tennessee Historical Society – among numerous other awards for philanthropy, conservation and other accomplishments.
Hanna is ranked by YouGov as the 23rd most popular contemporary TV personality.
