About Litton Entertainment
Litton Entertainment is a privately held entertainment production, distribution and marketing company with offices in New York, Burbank, Chicago, Atlanta, Raleigh and Charleston, SC. The preeminent independent distributor in the television industry, Litton has been producing and distributing quality programming for over twenty years.
Beginning in the fall of 2011, Litton began providing virtually all ABC-affiliated stations with 3 hours of new FCC-friendly, weekend programming - Litton's Weekend Adventure. The six new shows making up the block are Jack Hanna's Wild Countdown, Ocean Mysteries with Jeff Corwin, Born to Explore, Everyday Health, Food for Thought with Claire Thomas and Culture Click. This block immediately became the top-rated weekend morning destination on broadcast television. Other Litton series include the Emmy® winning Jack Hanna's Into the Wild, Storm Stories, Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures, Exploration with Jarod Miller and Wild Ltd.. Litton NewsSource provides local stations with specialized news reports, including over a dozen Consumer Reports segments each month.
Founded in 1987 by President and CEO Dave Morgan, Litton Entertainment has been shaped by Morgan’s extensive experience from past executive positions held with Hearst, Taft, Anheuser- Busch and Katz Television. Under Morgan’s leadership and spurred by his vision and in-depth understanding of all aspects of the television industry, Litton now creates, produces and distributes its own programming.
Litton’s roots are grounded in the recognition and development of new talent and the creation of targeted, marketable brands. Having built Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures from its debut in 1990 into the #1 half-hour weekly syndicated program on the air, Litton grew to become the largest supplier of FCC-friendly programs through the 1990s and continues to play a key distribution role in the U.S. broadcast community.
Litton Entertainment has been entrusted with creating media properties for top national brands such as McGraw-Hill’s BusinessWeek, Consumer Reports, NASCAR, Standard & Poor’s, and Hearst’s Good Housekeeping. These major corporations and news brands have turned to Litton Entertainment to leverage their media assets into meaningful content they create and own, and which delivers their message to a broad range of consumers.
With multiple offices around the country and its own production and editing facilities, Litton Entertainment is uniquely positioned to take advantage of the rapidly shifting media landscape.
